Our minds are tireless editors. According to psychologists, each time we touch our memories, we change them. When we recollect, we rewrite. Certainly with art we shape and reshape our the story of our memories. And yet, even knowing we can’t quite render them precisely, we can’t stop trying to nearly capture the ineffable moments of our life. 

This collaboration between Kansas Poet Laureate Traci Brimhall and printmaker Lori Stanziola explores the memories we choose to preserve and render into new works of art.
